Boyd family scrapbooks, 1872-1916.

Scrapbooks consist of newspaper and magazine clippings. Includes articles on John F. Boyd's mining career, the 1880 Boyd-Arner wedding. Includes articles and ephemera relating to the 1905 dedication of Boyd Memorial Park in San Rafael and to the Jack Boyd Memorial, Casa de Piedra, Ojai Valley Club. Also includes poetry, cartoons, social invitations, and a pencil sketch. One scrapbook is stamped J.F.B. on the cover, and all bear Louise Arner Boyd bookplates.

Louise Arner Boyd (b. September 16, 1887, San Rafael, California-d. September 14, 1972, San Francisco, California) was a geographer, big game hunter, patroness of the arts, and leader of eight expeditions into polar regions, including several to Greenland.
